The Youth Empowerment and Sports Department has launched its Web Site. The Web Site would provide an easy access to the schemes, programmes, welfare measures, and every activity under taken by the Department in the fields of Youth Service and Sports.

The Web Site gives information about the youth activities in the State undertaken by the Government as well as the Youth Clubs of Karnataka.

In the sphere of sports, the web site gives information about the sporting infrastructure, such as Outdoor stadia, Indoor stadia, Swimming Pools, Velodrome, Gymnasia etc. in the State. It also depicts the achievements/medals of the sporting talents of the State at various levels and information about the awards won by the sports persons belonging to the State. The web site serves as a very powerful medium to express about and interact with the sportspersons and youth of Karnataka.

The Adventure Sports is taking roots in a big way amongst the youth. The participation itself is a manifestation of the adventurous spirit of the youth. The department has established GETHNAA in 1982. This academy has established Adventure Centres in many places and conducts regular Terrestrial, Aqua and Aero adventure sports. The Web-site will be providing details about these programmes and would help the youngsters to plan their activities.

I sincerely hope that the Web Site of the department would help all those who are connected with the activities of Youth and sportspersons in the State.
