​​​ Instrumentation Technology​

The instrumentation technology course is a specialized course and is a branch of mechanical Engg.It is a three year diploma course. This was first started as “Instrument mechanic” diploma course Under mechanical Engineering with the development of the technology the course also went under change in syllabus and named as “Instrument technology”. This diploma is awarded after the student successfully completes 3 years of study.

This branch of engg provides scope to the student to study in detail the theoretical knowledge, related to measurements, reading different physical parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, boiled level speed etc, things as the correct instrument or gauge to measure the parameters.

The student also learns the constructional details, working principles, applications etc specially used in the industries. In the practical the students are taught the skills as using these instruments for learning, testing, servicing, and calibration, and to record the data collected. Technical report is written related to the activities that are being taught in the practical classes. Better lab and workshop facilities are provided to the students with well trained faculty and staff to import theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the students.
